Two finished objects!

Two finished objects!

hey there =)

oh finally… I had planned to write this on the weekend but then I was rather busy, studying, and Sunday I spent the whole day at a friend for roleplaying day and got the first sunburn of the season (ouch). Now I finished my hebrew homework and have a bit free time before I need to work a bit on that stupid presentation for next week :p

So … yes I have two finished objects =D First is the Girl Friday Cardigan which I finished last week. I was almost afraid of seaming but it went so smooth really =) It took quite a bit and I worked the collar twice but in the end there weren’t any big problems. Even the short sleeves work  fine, I think.

For the record… I hate myself on that picture… that’s why you only get a blurry version

The only problem with this cardigan is that it’s a tiny bit too wide. It doesn’t show on the picture but I think I look like I’m wearing a too big blazer… silly in other words. It’s a shame because otherwise it’s perfect.

I might some alterations to the pattern. First of all the aforementioned short sleeves. I also did not close the seams which makes it easier to fold it up:

The other thing I did was on the collar. I didn’t have enough yarn so I worked the short rows in the leftovers from my Eireens:

It almost doesn’t show as you can see on the first picture and it works fine. It also feels really good =) And then I thought it would look cool to do a final row in that same yarn and also bind of in it =) and it does look cool. Now I only need a button ;)

The second finished object is Pretty in Pink:

It fits so perfectly ^^ I can’t tell you how happy I am about it =) again it was hard to take nice pictures of me in it but I guess you can see that it turned out really pretty =) It’s maybe a touch big around the bust but otherwise simply perfect. I made it pretty long as I don’t like small tops but otherwise followed all the instructions. Oh wait no, I made the straps in garter stitch to avoid rolling and it turned out I needed them way longer than the pattern suggested.

And again, I end with some spring pictures I took Saturday:
